ABOUT
Vintage Villain is an indie rock band from Brooklyn, NY formed by Leon (vocals), Williston Cox (drums), Humberto Genao (Bass), Nelson Espinal (guitars/synth), Luke Martin (guitars/synth). The quintet's musical aesthetic is influenced by dream pop, electronica and rock music.
In February of 2012, after experimenting for a year, the band has finally come to fruition in its current incarnation. With their own vision but with notable weight of influences from various bands that include Band of Horses, Beach House, The Antlers, Phantogram, and The Walkmen.
Vintage Villain brings about layers of reveb-rich guitars and synthesizer melodies as a wide canvas where inspired vocal lines and colorful effects spread freely while being complimented by robust D&B rhythm sections to express lucidly the emotional coding of their work.
Their new EP is in the works- Their single "two shots later" is to be released in early 2013 so stay tuned....
