ABOUT

You or your band on a local TV station here in Omaha!
For free!
Sound good?
All you and I need is your band's permission and or the establishments consent if videotaping at a venue!
Contact me from this site! I film for a local non-profit station and we have a program that promotes local talent called “Big O Bands” When capturing a band I also highlight the venue. It is my policy to give the band members a copy of the show through a digital download as well as the venue that brought in the band or entertainer. It is a non-profit Television station and so I cannot charge for filming. There is no advertising or selling done on the show; however we can ask viewers to visit CD baby or direct them to your music sites. It is edited down to a ½ hour long show... If the taping runs 2 hours long there could potentially be 4 different segments of the show televised. We do not film Content that may be deemed offending to the general public so nasty rap would be off limits in this case. Most other music is allowed though. I can only be in one place at one time so it is “as my schedule permits” You may upload any part of the filmed performance to Your tube or your book etc... Please give me some background about you as a solo performer or your band with names of players and what instruments they play. websites such as ... You tube or your book page helps as well as Bandmix Photos and videos, as I mix material in during the show. Again this is all about promoting your talent and getting you out there on the screen, so I will run your Dot across the screen and flash photos and album covers as the show is rolling. What do I get out of it? 1.) Usually very tired, late nights editing, ears ringing for a couple daze. I do get material! That is media to keep my show going, without it I’m off the air, I guess it’s an ego thing that I have a televised show that has been running now going on 10 years. It gives me a good feeling to see you on the show and know that this could be the moment that you might be discovered by someone watching the show. As for the setting “ YOU HOST” don’t worry that you may only be set up to play in the garage or in a non public area, actually that is better in some ways because we have more control of the content, the spotlight is more on you and the theme has flexibility as well... for Example 1.) You can have a non-playing member or a supermodel do an interview for you as I film asking you all those juicy great questions you want to tell the public like Hey play us that one off your latest album, or give us a song just play something for us! These interview sessions can be uploaded and played again and again! I usually have 3 or 4 cameras rolling onset to keep the viewers attention so there will need to be room to station cameras, if it is a full band I will need room to pull out with the main camera rather than a small or tight closed in room. Outside may work but capturing the sound is my number #1 priority! Sometimes mother nature does not understand - Quiet areas with no high wind or a busy street nearby... Without good sound we have no show! So at clubs if the audio is run through a board I will want to have a line level out, rather than through the air especially with a crowd or audience. I do like the in house close intimate interview settings with interspersed music that promotes your upcoming performances or musical aspirations as well as your past music or song that tells a story about who and how you or your band came to be. You can be creative with the setting as you want! The best place is a room that is large enough to feel comfortable and we can have at least 45 minutes to fill the room with music uninterrupted. Imagine the late night show- That would be the best case scenario. – I am sorry I do not have a studio large enough or a backdrop that would promote you in your best light! I can not interview you and tape you at the same time – So (You will need someone to be your host "so to speak" for Q & A).
If the setting is a venue it is fairly cut and dry – I will show up setup and videotape your performance. I will say this... People will see you somewhere on the street or somewhere in a store and ask
“Didn’t I see you on TV the other night?” You’ll smile and think to yourself * "That rocks"!
Hope to see you in my camera!

Influences

I can only choose a (Max of 4) genre's of music above ^ I am open to almost anything - But I have a hard time trying to edit and produce and promote head banging or even heavy metal sometimes to the general public so if you are in this style maybe you could pull a half hour or more of music from your closet that would be considered more *Mainstream - I will take into consideration all types.
