Just moved to Washington from Arizona and looking for new people to jam with. Looking to either join an existing band or start a new one. I play rhythm and lead guitars, but no preference as to which. I've been playing for 17 years and was a guitar major in college. (Not showboating here, just giving my background training and commitment to practicing.) I was in a pop-rock cover band for a while and we played live gigs. I also performed solo classical/jazz guitar at local bookstores and coffee shops while attending school. As a music major, I used to practice 6-8 hours a day, and during that time developed some good technique, speed, and dexterity.
Most recently in AZ I was in a hybrid experimental metal project that combined melodic metal and heavy guitar grooves with grungy Seattle-type vocals. We finished recording our album before I moved to WA, and the album will be coming out soon.
Looking to join a band in any of the following genres: metal, death metal, melodic death metal, black metal, 80's "hair metal", thrash, post metal, post rock, alternative, grunge, etc.
