ABOUT

I have built a cover band that plays popular music from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and beyond. I have spent the last three years collecting equipment to drive the concept of this project, that concept is built around intelligent DMX computer programed lighting, high definition video, and pro audio. This is NOT A BAND THAT WILL PLAY EVERY STRIP MALL BAR ON A1A, but will focus on the special event private party market. I have a full time career and am not looking to earn my living from the project, but am more interested in expressing myself artistically. It will be necessary to cut our teeth and work out the bugs in some of the local pubs, but the goal is to develop an entertainment package suitable for special events and private parties.

If this sounds like a project you are interested in send me an email and we can discuss it further.

Influences

I grew up on classic rock, but have expanded my taste in music over the years. This project is focusing on popular music, danceable rock favorites, MTV CLASIC VIDEOS, and anything that makes an audience stand up.

Members Of Band

At this point in the construction, the band consists of a singer, drummer, guitarist and a bass player. I play drums and handle the light programing and video production. I play to a click track that runs in sync with the DMX software, so I guess you could say there is a fifth member; you can call him Mac. Let me not forget the most valuable player, the sound engineer.

EQUIPMENT

If there is one thing you can count on in the music business, it is that you can't count on anyone. Accepting this reality has led me to the conclusion that if I want to play in a band with pro gear I am going to have to own the gear. I have thus far acquired DW drums, Paiste cymbals, audix mics, Ampeg Bass rig, Sennheiser vocal mics, TC Helicon vocal effects, JBL speaker cabs, B-52 folded horn subs, custom wireless in ear monitors for the entire band, isolation head phone monitors, peavy wedge monitors, PreSonus Studio Live 24. 4.2 AI digital Mixing Console, multiple various power amps . DMX lighting - multiple LED Par64 cans, lasers, strobes, moving head fixtures, special effect lights, Hazer, Truss System, 110" video screen, HD Projector, Venue Magic DMX Software, Toshiba Satellite PC, Ableton Live 8 DAWS, Apple iMac.
