vox + stix is a remote-only, **live-in-real-time** cover band in NY and NJ playing music people love, forgot they love, and don’t know they love yet. Our set list, unlike literally any other cover band in the history of the world, spans many genres and decades, such as classic rock, pop, 80s, 90s, and today’s music, whatever that’s called. Seriously, we know your mind is absolutely shredded right now because you’ve never heard a cover band with this description before. It’s like seeing a unicorn. Or Bigfoot. But we do QOTSA, Concrete Blonde, Fleetwood Mac, Muse, Petty, R.E.M., Prince, Counting Crows, Alice Merton, The Raconteurs, Tears for Fears, Foo, Pearl Jam, Police, Radiohead, Eurythmics, BNL, etc. We try to avoid playing the same old Dead/Who/Stones/rinse and repeat covers. You can’t put us in a box, man, because we’re rebels. So our influences are, um...too many to mention here.

EQUIPMENT

We all have our own gear (amps, pedals, e-kit, mics, PA, etc.). We’re also rehearsing and gigging on Jamulus, so we each have an audio interface as well.

Yes, this is legit. No, it’s not a recording project; we play live. Yes, we get to rehearse and gig from home together *in real time* just like any other band, except no commute, no load in/out, no setup/breakdown. If you hang out at home playing by yourself for a few hours a week, you could be doing it with other people who are pretty awesome. And while we know some folks prefer to play in person, we have a global following of 10k+ people, which means we’re playing to folks who’d never hear us otherwise.
