ABOUT

I play since I was a kid. I have played any music style and genre in different bands (in Italy). I have started at 10, studying Classical Guitar, then moved to Electric Guitar and Bass Guitar. I have played on different bands any music genres (pop, rock, fusion, jazz). But finally I have landed on Double Bass and Cello. In the last 15-20 years I have been playing almost exclusively Classical Music (I play in a symphony orchestra) and I play Jazz Guitar in a Duo and working on my Piano skills. I am interested to play with anyone as guitar player in jazz , rock, americana, etc. Also interested in playing piano or guitar with some jazz vocalist.

Influences

On the double bass (jazz): Ron Carter, Charles Haden, Scott La Faro, Charles Mingus, Ray Brown, Paul Chamber. On the electric bass, Marcus Miller , Victor Wooten, Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke, Verdine White, many others.
My influences are diverse and broad. I prefer jazz and classical music, but I like rock, funk, R&B, and many other styles and genres. I like cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Jaqueline Du Pre, Pablo Casals. I like very much Double Bass player Rinat Ibragimov, the wonderful work of Bottesini (and Dragonetti), Bozo Paradzik, Renaud Garcia-Fons. I have learned the innovative technique of Francois Rabbath, but I have also studied the Simandl method. Among influences, how can I forget Bach and Mozart and the wonderful master of Baroque: Vivaldi. I love opera Puccini, Verdi, Donizzetti, Rossini, Bellini, Mozart, Wagner and the one who started opera: Monteverdi.
On Guitar: Wes Montgomery, John Scofield, Joe Pass, Emily Remler, Pat Metheny, Joe Bonamassa, Jeff Beck, Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Django Reinhardt(and a sequel of Gipsy Jazz new people). On Acoustic guitars, many many, among them Joan Baez, Jim Croce, Tommy Emmanuel, James Taylor, etc. On classic guitar , well the list is too long...Segovia obviously. On Piano, besides classics (love Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Chopin, Beethoven...) , Bill Evans (the Trio with Scott La Faro is sublime), Oscar Peterson, love Diana Krall and so many others ...
