Band to Join, Vocalist, Lead Guitar, Keyboard.

I am a retired engineer and professor and have been living in Venice since late 2011. I have enjoyed making music for a long time, mostly with acoustic guitar and voice. I have also sung in a number of choruses and choirs. More recently, I have been playing electric bass and building a repertoire of classic rock tunes.

Some years ago my two sons and I formed a family band called Edna's Kin. We perform mainly roots music and original tunes. However, we don't live close by, so we only play once or twice a year.

In the latter part of 2016, a guitarist, a drummer, and I formed a classic rock/pop trio called Cruise Control. We have been getting gigs at the modest rate of about one or two per month. Our guitar player, who handled many of the lead vocals, has retired from the band. We have continued with subs and I now cover many of the vocals. However, we are looking for a new person to play lead guitar or perhaps keyboard and share the vocal duties. We are looking for someone who plays mostly for fun but doesn't mind getting a few paying gigs. We want to have fun and make a few bucks, but we don't want this to be a job.
