I'm a groove-oriented guitarist and bassist. I've been in many bands over the years - usually playing classic rock and jam-based music (Dead, Allmans, etc), blues and funk - but looking to do something different this time. I dig all types of "world music" and am looking to put together some type of hybrid band that can play funky, danceable music, with a world twist. I can play basic lead guitar, just about any type of rhythm guitar, and can also be a more than passable bassist. I can also do lead or backup vocals.

I'm looking to do this mainly for fun and personal enjoyment, but my end goal would be to work up a set and gig at least once a month. I'm not looking for any specific instruments - mainly looking for musicians who are like-minded, proficient with their instruments, and have similar musical tastes to mine. No egos. Improvisation would definitely be a big component of this project as well.

My influence list is diverse - I'm looking for people to play with who are open minded about music, and want to get together, jam, have fun, and see where it leads.
