ABOUT

Bassist/songwriter/guitarist interested in connecting with prospective collaborators for a recording project. I pride myself on writing catchy melodies with intelligent, thought-provoking, and socially relevant lyrics.

I joined bandmix a couple of years ago in hopes of connecting with some folks primarily interested in songwriting, recording, and collaboration, but have had little success. It seems that most folks here just want to play in a cover band.

I'm no prima-donna, and I abandoned my dreams of stardom years ago. I just really enjoy the creative process and collaborative creative projects, and prefer the studio to the stage.

I recently discovered a site that is all about connecting songwriters, musicians, singers, and engineers, for the purpose of creating new crowd-sourced music. I've been able to collaborate with folks from all over the world, and it's been a lot fun.

Influences

I grew up listening to artists like Arlo Guthrie, Simon & Garfunkle, and Stan Getz, and played in rock bands covering anything from Faces and Stones to Judas Priest, UFO, and Ritchie Blackmore. My music has a definite classic rock flavor, and my lyrics the sensibility of some of the great folk singer/social activitists.
