ABOUT

We've got a bass player, now we need drums. We have played a number of venues, largely on Manhattan's Lower East Side, such as Otto's Shrunken Head, The Cake Shop, The Delancey and The Local 269 to name a few; along with some venues in Brooklyn and in the Tri-State. We like the funky and eclectic and have many influences.

Some of our material can be heard ./wendypmedition or ./wendypm

though the setlist has encompasses more than what's up on those links- 10 or 11 originals to be certain.

Influences

Guitar that's been very inspirational to me: Johnny Marr (Smiths), Paul Weller (The Jam), The Edge (U2...or need I say?!), Kim Gordon (SHE KICKS ASS!!!)/Thurston Moore/Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth)

Other groups/artists that move me: The Cure, P J Harvey, Gang of Four, Hole-particularly the Live Through This CD, I've already mentioned The Jam and The Smiths, of course U2, Cake (very funky and eclectic), Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sonic Youth and XTC. Also a cd called Collisions by Calla. Pete Yorn, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff, too. Bjork, Garbage, Liz Phair and Suzanne Vega. The Clash, The Pretenders, The Specials and The English Beat, an obscure English band called Durruti Column-very funky! Wow, very hard to stop once started! Depeche Mode and the Go-Gos. Ivy, Leona Naess. To name a few more, Interpol, Green Day, Roxy Music, Iggy with and without the Stooges, Everclear, Crowded House, KATE BUSH, Nirvana, The National, Muse's Supermassive Black Hole cd, Sarah McLachlan's Fumbling Towards Ecstacy, Psychedelic Furs, Love and Rockets, Midnight Oil, Joy Division, Cocteau Twins, Sly and the Family Stone, James Brown, Franz Ferdinand, the Arctic Monkeys, Sons and Daughters, REM, Modest Mouse, Weezer, The Rifles, The Hives, Echo and the Bunnymen. The ones who started the fire? The Beatles, The Stones, vintage Who and Kinks, 60s/70s Motown, and Sly and the Family Stone, too.
