Bio: Never one to turn away from a challenge, Wendy's musical path has taken her from playing saxophone professionally at age 11, teaching herself guitar with her Mom's folk songbook, classical, 16th century Madrigals, Rock and now Jazz/Swing. She studied Classical and Musical Theater voice with Greg Berg while attending Carthage College and toured with The Carthage College Choir. In the Summer of her Junior year, she sang in a 6 part acapella Madrigal group. After graduating with a degree in Speech Communication, she formed an acoustic duo playing coffee houses and restaurants in CA. Upon returning to IL, she joined Skylion, covering songs from all genres, including Bad Company, Sheryl Crow, Deep Purple, Faith Hill and Janet Jackson. Wendy always wanted to find her own singing style and is getting to do just that with her current band, Wendy Gohr & Friends.
