I'm a drummer that had to take some time off for family/business needs, but desperately need to get back into a band as soon as possible. I've missed what was so much of my identity for most of my life and cant believe I stopped for so long. I've been working rudiments and with my snare and kick for a while now to just get my muscle memory back to where I was, but I can only do so much with that. When I stopped, I was playing at a high level with a signed touring band (indie) and just got burnt out with too much on my plate. I'm in a better place now and just want to have fun with people that make me feel the music. Nothing beats that feeling when you're in the groove with your band, creating music. I'm not looking for something too serious now, but would like to play out, just not like I use to which was multiple times a week. For me, I miss the brotherhood and family feeling of being in a band with people you connect with. Rock style in general but I don't want to put myself in a strict box with my music. A band that can blend multiple styles would be my preference, but at this point I just want to get back to jamming!
