My roots go way back. My neighbor was a Nam vet who got me my 1st electric guitar. He was 10 yrs older than me and introduced me to the blues and snuck me into clubs to see Muddy Waters, Hound dog Taylor, Luther Alison, Johnny Shines - all before I was 18. I have played just about every kind of music, except for Jazz since, but i'm working on it. Never to late to learn. I have recorded 3 CDs with my former band and wrote more than half the songs. I can't read music notation, but make up for it in skill and I play by ear in most genres. I do a lot of finger picking in a Travis picking style.

Chet Adkins, Paul Simon, Buddy Holly, Sting, SRV, Hank Williams Sr, Etta James, Eva Cassidy, Bela Fleck, Elvis, Ry Cooter, Peter Green and early Fleetwood Mac, and down deep - all Blues. I am eclectic to say the least.
