ABOUT

I've been taking drum lessons for four years, teaching myself piano/keyboard for about a year, and I'm interested in picking up bass guitar, cello, and/or electronic music.

I know a bit of music theory, but I'm not classically trained. I'm interested in exploring the possibility of creating music outside the norms (e.g., uncommon time signatures, microtonality, etc.)

I'm also nonbinary.

If you have any questions for me, are interested in forming a band together, recruiting me for a band, or just wanna jam out, my discord is XaetaRhythm#4283.

My apple music profile is XaetaRhythm.

Influences

My all-time favorite artists: Pink Floyd, My Chemical Romance, C418

Favorite albums: Pink Floyd's The Wall, Dark Side of the Moon, and Wish You Were Here, Nirvana's Nevermind, Brian Tyler's AC Black Flag soundtrack, MCR's The Black Parade and 3 Cheers for Sweet Revenge, Toby Fox's Undertale Soundtrack, Daft Punk's Tron soundtrack, Evanescence's Fallen, Metallica's black album, C418's One, 148, and Minecraft soundtracks, Gerard Way's Hesitant Alien

Favorite genres: Alternative, Metal, Pop-Punk, Goth, Electronic, Soundtrack, Emo, Prog-Rock, Hard Rock, Blues, Classic Rock

I have conflicting feelings about jazz. I tend to like swing/big-band, bop, free-form jazz, or fusion. I definitely like playing jazz more than listening to it, but when I do, I like unique or progressive takes on the genre. I don’t, however, like “elevator music.”

I like cross-genre covers of classical music, but otherwise find it difficult to appreciate.

Not a fan of gospel or christian music.
