ABOUT

Yellowtieguy is fronted by folk-rock singer/songwriter Daniel W. Hill. His lyrics and vocals are a reflection of singers like Jackson Brown & Bob Dylan, while his music makes no apologies for capturing a more raw rock sound from artists like Tool & Foo Fighters.

For over ten years, Daniel has been writing and performing acoustically for parties, weddings, businesses, and bars & restaurants. Yellowtieguy has been an integral part of the music community in Maryland.

A generation of passionate fans have been formed as a result of Daniel’s commitment to causes like AIITCO, Children’s Miracle Network, The Copyright Alliance, Make a Wish Foundation, World Wildlife Fund, and all branches of the US Military.

Already having a strong internet fanbase via , , Last.fm, and Reverbnation, Yellowtieguy has recently hired ArtistPR to help with promotions and to seek out opportunities for magazines, blogs, film, television, and radio.

In 2010 Daniel teamed up with guitarist Jason McKinney, drummer Darren Guzone, and bassist Mary Celeste to record their first studio release “Joy in the Mourning”, which is currently in post-production and scheduled to release spring of 2011.

Paving the way for their release, Yellowtieguy is currently scheduling shows with various venues, colleges, and festivals all across Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania. Taking on live show drumming duties, is the talented Ralf Madrigal.
