I am a 47 y.o. guitarist and vocalist looking to put together or join a rock band and play some gigs. I like rough, raw, heart-felt rock music. I am not all about technical perfection. Sure, you gotta hit the right chords and (most of) the right notes, but I think music is about feeling as much as it is about technique. I can play lead and rhythm guitar, electric and acoustic.
What I’d really like to do is gritty garage rock versions of popular tunes, while throwing in covers of more obscure bands and a few acoustic tunes, as well as eventually writing some originals. I live in Merrimack and I am willing to travel a little distance for the right situation. I do not have a practice space but I’d be willing to chip in on one. I DO NOT WANT TO PLAY CLASSIC ROCK! I can’t emphasize that enough. In the long run, I’d rather find like minded individuals with similar musical tastes and have a good time, than play “crowd-pleasing” cover songs and be miserable.
