A beautiful country retreat located off exit 18 of I-87 in Upstate NY.
1.5 hours north of NYC and 30 minutes from Woodstock.
Fast, professional work in a secluded beautiful rural environment.

About
The studio is run by musicians and songwriters. We've found this to come in very handy when recording. Not all engineers are musicians. We are youthful, creative, enthusiastic, positive and fun.
We believe in the importance of good gear, but feel that musicians don't need to spend large amounts of money to get a great recording. Of course nice microphones, preamps and compressors help, but we believe that ears, technique and nice gear are most important, in that order.
Young Love recordings have been on radios internationally including NPR, the BBC and stations all across Europe. They have been written about in several magazines including Spin, NME and Paste. Our recordings have been in the top 100 CMJ college radio charts and have led bands to touring the world.
Gary earned a BA in Audio Production, has been a recording engineer since 1992 and a musician for longer. As a sideman he was signed to Virgin Records where he got the experience of recording with platinum producer Nellee Hooper (Bjork, Smashing Pumpkins, No Doubt, Massive Attack).
Gary has lived and worked in San Francisco, Los Angeles, London and NY.

Gary is also an engineer at Sonart Recording Studio in Mt. Tremper, NY. If your budget allows, we can combine facilities if needed and use their superb room and top of the line mic collection, then bring those tracks here to add layers and mix.
