Zen Conspiracy is a Longmont-based band that writes, records, and performs original music. Our music tips toward the heavier side but remains grounded in reggae melodies. Reggae, Metal, Alternative, and Rap-core influence our style. Our lyrical content is proactive and politically charged with no fear of addressing controversial subject matter in our current times. Currently the band is supporting our debut album "Zentropy" being marketed nationally and world wide via all major record distributors.

ZC is actively seeking and in the market for a Bass Player.

Were open minded about music influences, but desire a backbone drive that sits well with our overall sound. A well-controlled rhythm and melody capable of sustained beauty and violence. Ideally a bassist that is well disciplined in the art of Reggae & Metal styles. Our sound is pretty unique as it blends the two genres among others. From a backbone perspective a finger playing 4-6 string bassist that can bring and drive a reggae groove would blend in very nicely. A candidate must be able to contribute to our music writing and be able to jive with our bands direction and vision.

Requirements are few, but those that exist are important. Available to rehearse 1-2 times per week (evenings around 6pm weekends), available to play live shows twice monthly. Financial stability and maturity (i.e. you don't need a ride, gas money or someone to bail you out of jail). You're a team player willing and able to contribute to something that is bigger than the sum of its parts. We're an amateur band with a professional attitude and work ethic so we need you to be the same.
