FUNK/ROCK drummer and percussionist looking for exciting new project. I have been a touring and session drummer for many years and owned a recording studio during the 1980's and early 90's in Boulder Colorado, specializing in movie soundtracks & pop 80's style electronic music. That turned into a touring band for over 10 years. I'm also very well acquainted with melodic and progressive rock music and love funk, popular dance music, EDM, Latin, R&B and fusion grooves as well. I'm a huge fan of 80's style music and heavily influenced by Sonny Emory (Earth Wind Fire) John Farriss (INXS), Christian Eigner (Depeche Mode), Stewart Copeland (Police), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) and Terry Bozzio. Dozens of originals in the INXS, Simple Minds, Queensryche, Pink Floyd 80's vibe. Dance-able but rocks heavy! Looking for bass, keys, guitar/vocals... In addition to a large acoustic kit with internal mics and triggers, I have lots of acoustic and electronic percussion. LP congas, bongos and djembes. I have set of Roland TD-30 electronic drums, Roland HandSonic, Yamaha DTX 12, and play an electronic instrument called a ZENDRUM which is a guitar body styled electronic trigger pad instrument for percussion, drums, sound fx etc. I am very familiar playing along backing tracks and click tracks as well. I was in an all original 80's band for many years and have dozens of originals!
Videos are from a live show in Los Angeles with my original band and me playing my Alesis Strike kit in my studio to some re-mix dance tracks I'm working on with a local DJ.
