Bio

Hi There!
My name is Steve and I write original tunes, as well as perform many cover songs. I sing and play an acoustic 12 string guitar, the Porch Board, and I utilize a harmonizer. I write songs that tell a story, and when I play those songs for people I hope they can relate to the story being told.

A Few Facts
-I’m originally from Fairchild, WI (about 30 miles east of
Eau Claire, WI) and now live in Altoona, WI.
-My wife and I have been married since 1986 and we have
Three sons, Sean 26, Zachary 21, Seth 18, and our Daughter Sierra, 17, Sean and Zachary attend the University of Wisconsin, Eau Clare, and Sierra attends Altoona High School. Seth Passed away in July 2013. Since his passing I’ve devoted my music to him. He was a special needs boy with downs syndrome and autism; he would love to hear me play and always asked for more. He is missed and will continue to be missed by our family.
-I’ve been playing the guitar since I was 14 years old.
-I have tried to learn the fiddle, mandolin, and banjo, but
Gravitated back to playing the guitar.
-I am a member of the Professional Golfers Association of
America (PGA). I’ve worked at various golf courses
here in Wisconsin and Washington State.
-I currently host 2 Music In The Park Series
Altoona & Chippewa Falls, WI. And Co-Host an Open Mic
On the deck at Fanny Hill restaurant
-I enjoy riding my motorcycle through the country side
during our great days of summer.
-My Mother told me that my Dad played the guitar and
banjo when he was younger. I grew up listening too many
great singer/songwriters: Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson,
Gordon Lightfoot, John Denver, and Jim Croce just to
name a few.
-Some of my Favorite Musicians Are: Johnny Cash, Marty
Robbins, Gordon Lightfoot, John Denver, Kitty Wells,
Loretta Lynn and many others.
-My first CD was recorded locally in Eau Claire, and is titled
Kountry Klassic’s. The album has 10 cover songs and 4
original compositions.
