ABOUT
Mezzo soprano Alex Delgado is available to sing at weddings, funerals, and other events.
Alex has had a love for music since beginning piano lessons at the age of 7 and discovered a joy for singing through choir. They are currently finishing up a degree in classical vocal performance at San Jose State University and have performed in multiple opera and musical theater roles in their time at SJSU including Dionisia in La Curandera, Lucy Brown in Threepenny Opera, and most recently Cinderella in Into the Woods. In addition to operas, Alex has had opportunity to sing as a backup vocalist for artists such as Josh Groban (2019 and 2022) and Andrea Bocelli (2022).
While classical voice is their passion, Alex also has a love for rock music and has performed with multiple rock groups. Alex spent 4 years playing keyboard and singing in rock band No Surrender, performing at Angel Stadium, NAMM, and for the likes of Gene Simmons & Paul Stanley of KISS. More recently, Alex recorded keyboard and vocals for indie rock band Bedside Pineapple’s debut EP “Oh Marie”.
