Although I'm the team leader of our church praise band, I still love the oldies & would enjoy starting or playing bass in an oldies cover band, either in South Bay LA area or Temecula Valley area, or both. I'm an old guy, so my wheel house is rock & r & b, from late 50's thru early 70's. Pretty eclectic: from Ray Charles, Elvis, Coasters, Everley Bros, Kingston Trio, P P & M, thru Beatles, Stones, Brit Invasion, Motown, Wilson Pickett, to Dooby Bros and beyond. Can sing vocal or backup while playing bass or rhy guitar. Can read lead-sheets and chord-charts.

Early influences: classical, esp Bach and other baroque. Church music. Elvis and rockabilly stars (Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins)
Teen Years. Ray Charles, James Brown, folk groups like Peter Paul & Mary. And, of course, the Beatles.
Post-college years: Handel's Messiah, Andrae Crouch, contemporary Christian, Praise & Worship Music.
