ABOUT
I've been playing bass since about 1975 in junior high. Still have my '78 fretless P bass I bought new though I now have too many basses.... I started playing upright about 18 years ago. I've done lots of styles including (what is now called) Classic Rock, progressive, country, bluegrass, jump blues, rockabilly and even classical. I've had the opportunity to study with Carol Kaye and Jeff Berlin.

Influences
Thats a good one. My style of playing was majorly influenced originally by John Illsley of Dire Straits. I just love that tone, excellent timing and simplicity. That describes allot of my playing, Of course, as a child of the 70's I'm a huge Rush fan along with the usual suspects, Yes, The Who, etc. I love the prog players playing and I've done their songs myself in past bands, but they are more of my musical tastes than influences.
