Have been playing upright bass for about 42 years. Bass guitar also depending on music style being played. I started as an orchestra bassist and played with the Pittsburgh String Symphony. Moved cross country and played for the San Diego symphony during Summer Pops seasons. Played with a lot of bands and big names in while in San Diego for studio sets or just at local garage jams. Was in San Diego for 30 years and just moved to Illinois. In San Diego I played Rockabilly, Blues, Bluegrass, rock and country. Pretty much anything from big band of the 20’s through to present. I especially enjoy my upright bass with early blues, ala Willie Dixon. Looking for a band to practice and gig with.
