Looking for:
1. A group with similar influences to join
2. Female vocalists with experience in r&b or trip hop style vocals (to contrast with the more “ambient rock/metal” sound of the projects I’m currently working on)
3. Drummers and bassists
I am by no means a technical player (zero formal training) but I have been recording my own ideas and demos for years now with the limited resources I have. The main instruments I play are guitar and piano/keyboard, and I have recently tried singing as well for a few of my own personal projects. I have been told I have a good ear for melody and standout moments amidst otherwise chaotic or nonsensical jam sessions. Music being something I’m very passionate about I seek to bring order and focus when working with groups on music as it’s much easier for me to play off of others and contribute to ideas than it is for me to complete my own. Most of the music I listen to on a daily basis could be said to be more “atmosphere-driven”. While I have a huge appreciation for more straightforward heavy and rhythmic music, I also think it’s very interesting to combine the power and abrasiveness of metal and rock with smoother ambient sounds that carry or intensify the dark emotion of the music. Experimentation is always good.
