We recently parted ways with our rhythm guitarist and for the next 2 weeks we will be taking submissions for his replacement. We have a show coming up on September 17th that we would like to be ready by. To be considered, please send us your Name, Age, Influences, Experience, an Image of Yourself, and either video or audio of your work; however video is preferred unless you've recorded on albums. Bio: Battle for Knotfest winner, Born For War, is a metal band out of Hollywood, CA whose members include 3 Marines and an Eagle Scout bassist. Their music is a dark and heavy blend of classical and progressive death metal that brings the crowd to their knees with their sinister tone and hypnotic rhythm. Sam, with his crushing lows and piercing highs, brings the intensity of war to the stage with his immense emotion and power.

The band was formed when Marine Corps veterans, Tommie and TK, met while attending Musicians Institute and when Active Duty Marine, Sam, was introduced to the band by Kings of Carnage vocalist, Micah McCullough. Shortly after the band’s creation, Sam was called to action on a 7 month deployment, during which time, the band continued to write and rehearse for his arrival. After having problems with their former bassists, the band met Connor, who started as a studio musician for us to track the bass parts in our album, but we ended up liking him so much that he became a part of us. About four months into Sam’s deployment, he surprised the rest of the band by returning early, and within two months the band competed and won the Battle for Knotfest in 2015.

Born For War is currently in the process of recording their debut EP to be released 2017.
