ABOUT

I am a multi-instrumentalist that started on trumpet, then went to classical percussion, then drumset, then classical guitar, voice (bass), double bass, electric bass, archtop jazz guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin, 7-string classical, electric guitar, accordion, pandeiro, alto & tenor saxophone, clarinet, Irish whistle, and ukulele.

I was a luthier at Kala in Petaluma for a year making the Kala Elite models by hand. I have been a stringed instrument luthier, repairer, and technician for over 20 years.

I have an extensive background in studio and live audio engineering and production, composing, arranging, and conducting. I have given private lessons on percussion, drumset, bass, guitar, mandolin, and ukulele for over 20 years.

I was the chief sound, recording, and lighting engineer at Birdland Jazz Club and worked with a wide variety of talent such as Oscar Peterson, Lou Donaldson, Bill Charlap, Ben Allison, Kneebody, Dorado Schmidt, Taylor Eigsti, Julian Lage, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Michel Camilo, Lionel Richie, and more.
