I began playing trumpet in elementary school and have never stopped playing. I am classically and jazz-trained. I have played in churches the entire time I have played, usually by ear because there is not much call for written trumpet parts in church. I also occasionally play with the Wayne State University and Henry Ford Community College Jazz Departments for opportunities to read and play with ensembles.
