Hello. My name is Ken Dorfman. Are you guys playing cards?
I've been playing the dwums since before I could pronounce my r's. Pots, pans and cast iron skillets made due as long as the money held out for our kitchen... which didn't last long. Cast iron did, not the pots and pans, though.
I haven't been in a band with paid gigs before, so all I can say is that I just love to play. My drumset needs some upkeep and a bit of repair, or I'll need an electric set. I'm in a difficult spot right now, with no car and no job. I'd love to be able to just commit and play, but I gotta get ahead a little bit first.

Influences
I honestly just love good music, and it's a mood thing for me. I do think the world of Carter Beauford from the Dave Matthew's Band, though. The song Crash Into Me wouldn't have been what it is without him behind the drums.

EQUIPMENT
Bass drum, 3 tom drums, snare drum (no snares), one 14 inch thin crash and a 16 inch thin crash, two stands and a hi-hat that needs to be repaired. Gibraltar hardware and Sabian cymbals. It's a nearly 20 year old Gretch Blackhawk.
