SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
Hi all!
I know the term “Powerhouse Female Vocalist” has been used and abused ad nauseum, but it’s a lot easier than saying “Incredibly Dynamic Singer With Crazy-Weird 4 1/2 Octave Range That Ranges from Low Growls, Hellacious Roars, Soulful Belts, Soaring Full Notes, Melodic and Airy Pretty Vocals, and Strong Metal High Shreds Who Might As Well Be the Female Version of Mike Patton/Trent Reznor/David Draiman/Richard Patrick/Maynard James Keenan/LaJon Witherspoon/Wayne Static/Chino Moreno/Josh Todd, etc. and Has Receipts and References.” It’s also shorter, and I know your time is equally as valuable as mine.
So let’s get to the point, shall we?
I’m looking for a pro (or damned close to it) situation that is TOURING or close to it. Looking to perform and write heavier, gritty-edged, but MELODIC and CATCHY music. If you’re an individual like-minded, forward-thinking insanely talented musician/producer with the right connections to turn it into something fantastic fairly quickly, I’m open to hearing your ideas and collaborating.
Though I am truly looking to do originals, I am open to working/close-to-working pro-level tribute bands as well. In that realm, my niche/specialty is convincingly mimicking heavy male singers (mostly the ones I have previously listed).
I’ve been a full-time musician before - I’m ready to do it again. Easily 1000+ shows. I learn quickly and pay attention to the small details. I show up, I show up on time. I’m prepared. I’m picky about getting things right, but also know when to embrace the magic the universe provides with happy accidents and typical stuff that can be classified under, “Hey, that’s rock n roll for ya - what are you gonna do?” - the show must go on, no matter what. So, please have your s**t together - enough outside factors can mess things up without our own stuff adding to the mix.
I’ve written songs with platinum-selling artists, and gotten some placements in film and TV. Just dropped a few singles I recorded earlier this year. I like hooks. I like music you can bob your head to. I also like lyrics that are smart but relatable.
Overall, I’m teachable, passionate, talented, creative, professional and polite, respectful, open-minded, positive, hard-working and SMART-working, friendly, diplomatic, creative, and RELIABLE. I think quickly on my feet, am adaptable to change, thrive under pressure and can hang in the heat of the moment.
Presently, I am 5’4”, 135 lbs, tattooed, cool hair, pale-skinned, been referred to as “attractive” a fair amount of times - plus, I own an inordinate amount of pleather, and wear it well. I’m not 18-25. That’s a GOOD thing - If you know, you know. It’s a BUSINESS, after all.
My day gig is flexible (I have my own company). No serious commitments, no drugs, no smoke, no alcohol, and I take care of myself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
If you’ve gotten this far, we should probably talk. You have patience and tenacity for stuff you’re passionate about, much like me.
Influences: Faith No More, Nine Inch Nails, Filter, Sevendust, Guano Apes, Soundgarden, PWEI, Tool, Fuel, The Cult, Stone Temple Pilots, Jane’s Addiction, Midnight Oil, Halestorm (which feels weird to say because Lzzy, Arejay and I have been friends since they were kids and our bands played together in Central PA), Republica, Eurythmics, Muse, Depeche Mode, Erasure, etc.
My website is: .carrierapaport, where there are links to my original music, videos of live performances (both recent and older), photos, socials, etc. Or Google me, if you like, you creeper.
Thanks!
