I used to play and tour in garage rock and punk bands in Memphis, TN. I've usually been a multi-instrumentalist, switching between keys/organ, guitars, bass, synth, violin, mandolin. Recently started learning drums on an electric kit.

Influences
The main five bands that got me into music as as a kid (and can still be heard in my solo stuff) were the Beach Boys, Neutral Milk Hotel, Modest Mouse, Sigur Ros, and Fleet Foxes. More recent influences include psych and garage rock (Slift, Fuzz, Thee Oh Sees, etc.), American Primitivist guitarists (Fahey/Basho/Kottke) and newer fingerstyle players like James Blackshaw and William Tyler, and all kinds of traditional folk music from around the world.
