Recently moved to Austin from Chicago. I'm 32 and looking for a group of people who would like to play the bar scene a few times a month and practice in between, mostly for fun and the experiences and friendship.
I'm looking for something that's a rock/blues band maybe with a harder edge but not necessarily. Something that has layers like Queen, that Texas grit like ZZ Top, and sounds great both live and in the studio.
I'm pretty serious about my music and am at a point in my music career in which I'm tired of learning songs off albums and would like to be creative. I've got a decent voice but since I'm more of a lead guitarist my focus is on the fretboard so I'd be better off doing harmonies than lead vox.
I'm a very laid back person and can have a good time with the right group of folks. I'm very good at adding some flavor to ideas and can also come up with some good riffs now and then myself.
I haven't been in a band in quite some time unfortunately. I have plenty of my own gear and all of that good stuff.

ZZ Top, Stevie, Sabbath, UFO, Scorpions, Skynyrd, Wishbone Ash, Rainbow, Rush,Queen. Really anything that has good musicians.
