ABOUT

Hello, we're Cymos, a progressive metal group in Los Angeles.

We're looking to add a dynamic vocalist, lyricist, and performer to our 45+ minutes of original written material.

We want someone who can take our arrangements to the next level and send audiences home wondering what hit them.

Our motif leans towards the cyclonic mysteries of the universe, but we’re open for whatever you think gives the people something to live for.

While what we do takes focus, we also like to have *fun*!

On the professional front, we’re in our early-to-mid 30s with full-time jobs (hey, good gear’s expensive), but would like to be on a twice a week rehearsal schedule most of the time.

We’re structured, collaborative, melodic, and even meditative. You’ll probably want an ear for odd-time signatures, though we would like to focus on more straight ahead head bangers as well. Consider what we have already demo'd our more adventurous side.

Our process? “It’s not good when it’s done, it’s done when it’s good.”

EQUIPMENT

We are definitely covered in the fancy gear department and would hope (if not require) any vocalists would be as well (both your mic of choice, mixer, and a PA system). All the basses, guitars, amps, pedals, and cabinets (both small and large) for any gig size are at our disposal.
