SOLID, SIMPLE DRUMMER WANTED FOR TOURING BAND
We’re a five piece, (incl. drummer) female-fronted, psychedelic indie band based in SF. We’re a musically diverse bunch; actively listening to and seeking out new music. We rehearse 2-3 times/wk in San Francisco, are on time and committed and we like to party but have our sh*t together. We take what we do very seriously, but we have a sense of humor and we laugh a lot. We all have stable sources of income that allow us to tour, and we have schedules that are flexible enough to allow us to pursue music professionally.
We are dedicated to regional and national touring; we’re hard working and have a positive attitude. Our number one priority in life is to make a living playing music and we are very active on the business side. We actively network and promote and we’re into writing collaboratively.
We’re looking for someone who shares these traits with us and whose primary instrument is drums. Experience as a drummer in touring, recording, promotion and working collaboratively in a band is required. Timeliness and the ability to communicate effectively are also required, as is the desire to play to a room and embrace simplicity.
This band would need to be your primary project, although everyone in the band is encouraged to have side projects and collaborations as long as they don’t present a consistent, major impediment to the bands forward progress. Interest in incorporating MIDI/sampling into your sound is required as well.
