I've been playing in clubs since I was 18. I've done everything from '80s rock to Classic Rock to Metal to Acoustic to Modern Rock to a Led Zeppelin tribute band. Black Diamond custom 5-string Explorer bass, ESP Ltd Series bass, Schecter Diamond Series bass, Steinberger full-body bass, Carvin electric and semi-hollow acoustic basses (all my basses are 5-strings). I have a portable 150-watt Fender combo amp with one 15" speaker. I also have a larger rig for the larger venues, including two Peavey cabinets: a 4x10 and a 2x10, powered by a Gallien-Krueger amp.
