I am a 25 year old singer/song-writing/multi-instrumentalist and am looking desperately for people to jam with on weekends and see what comes out of it. I started out with punk and rock, stuff like Fugazi, The Stooges, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, etc. but started playing more Indie Rock/Pop, particularly melodic and experimental stuff (Daughter, Minus The Bear, Grizzly Bear) I have a fairly busy college schedule, but am available on weekends.
I had played in several bands, namely a group called "Afterthoughts" for nearly eight years. We never had recordings, but it was a solid group.
My musical strengths are as follows
*Strong vocal harmonies,
*Flexible, warm voice with some punch (A2-G#5)
*11 Years of guitar (I'm primarily a rhythm player, but I can play lead confidently)
*11 years of Bass
*Six years of Piano
*Strong songwriting and lyric abilities (I was accepted as an English Major at UC Riverside)
*Six years experience with reading sheet music
*Open to working hard at the music and am willing to play multiple genres.
