Seasoned rock/hard rock drummer looking to join or form a band. Preferred emphasis would be on original material and perhaps a few select covers. Ideally, this would be a group effort, that would be built with contributions from all members. Zero f*cks given for your politics, social issues, or any other crap like that. Focus would be on the music: collaborating, writing, recording, perhaps playing live.

If I had to describe the sound/style that I'm interested in, it'd be something along the lines of: Shinedown, The Cult, Velvet Revolver, Alter Bridge, Daughtry, Train, Vertical Horizon, Creed, Fuel, Godsmack, KXM, aPerfectCircle, etc.... Essentially, solid rock with a super strong anchor in guitar riffage and great melodies, harmonies, and the occasional odd-time signature. Not all inclusive, but should provide you with a general idea of direction.

I'm more of a metalhead myself, but don't want to play it so much any more. I'm also not hung up on what you listen to or don't listen to, or any of your other personal background for that matter. Just hoping to find a decent group of people that I can write, jam, play live, and record with on a regular basis. It would be nice if we could also get along, not only as bandmates, but as people and humans. Personality, dedication, commitment, and creativity over technical talent or equipment quality or quantity. In other words: if you can shred, but are a jacka$$ or egomaniac or controlling tool with a grossly inflated sense of self or your abilities: hard pass. I'm sober, but don't care if other members are or aren't. As long as you can manage your intake, show up, contribute, and put in the work: your indulgences, life and life style are your own. I've the requisite drum and recording equipment, am self-employed with transportation, and the only couch that I sleep on, is my own. I can play to a click track and or with backing tracks. No novices or rookies. I'm 50, for those that are age-sensitive, and have zero patience for drama or bullsh*t. You should know your equipment and how to tastefully use and apply it.

I've a selection of material and bands that I've been a part of over the years and so should you. Should conversations develop, we can share material for talking points, but that vintage material should not be interpreted as preferences for future band directions. I'm in no hurry to jump into anything and would prefer to find the right people, band, or opportunity.
