We’re a band in North East LA called August West and the Rosebuds. We play mostly Grateful Dead songs and will also probably play some others. We are currently looking for a bass player that can play anything from improv jazz to funk to blues, a keyboardist, and a drummer or two.

Influences
Our biggest influence is the Grateful Dead. But we also love bands like the Allman Brothers Band, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Crosby Stills and Nash, Neil Young, and Barry Goldberg. We also listen to a lot of jazz like Sun Ra, John Coltrane, Stan Getz, Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, and Miles Davis.
