ABOUT

Former lead singer for a Bay Area progressive rock group in the 80's. Left that world to leave the drugs behind. Became involved in music ministry as a singer and drummer, stayed involved in music ministry for 13 years. Have played drums on/off since the mid-60's. Sight read vocal music. Can sing second tenor, but my natural vocal range is more bass-baritone.

Currently involved with an established Visalia Contemporary Christian/'Oldies' cover group, with a current playlist of over 250 songs, would consider doing other project work, ministry or compensated work, primarily in a vocal or drumming capacity. Also available for lyrics and/or songwriting efforts if you are an artist or band needing some direction in that regard.

Influences

Progressive Rock genre is my main influence - from early Pink Floyd and King Crimson to Porcupine Tree, Frost*, Haken and other present-day groups. More drawn toward Symphonic Prog than Metal, but I enjoy all variations within the genre. Also enjoy classic rock and covers of popular favorites as well as obscure rock tunes. Vocally attracted toward rich harmonies, positive and entertaining lyrics; and hey - if it honors God, so much the better! If that notion is foreign to your experience, all I can say is you are missing out on the best form of inspiration that music can provide. Look into it sometime.
