Local musician from San Diego. 29 years old been playing since 1998. I have somewhat formal training when it comes to percussion just from playing in the school band in elementary/middle school, then really expanding my craft in my high school years(graduated helix high school in 07) where i was drum captain of drumline from 05-07, jazz band drummer 06-07, and a percussionist in the concert band/wind symphony 03-07. It's thru these ventures that I really gained my knowledge of music theory and bolstered my technique in the various aspects of drumming, but I was always expanding upon my abilities by teaching myself to play guitar, bass, and piano/organ/keyboard. Anyways, I feel as though music is something I have a very strong natural talent for and while I wouldn't consider myself an expert guitarist or organist/pianist I would definately put myself in the moderate to advanced ranking across the board. I started writing and recording original material playing every instrrument in 07 and have a few albums worth of music at this point. No lyrics have been recorded yet on my demos, I only have lyrics to a couple songs Anyways, but for what I do have recorded and available to show off, their is a ton of potential for it to go somewhere and do big things (in my opinion). I'm looking to start or join a band and I have plenty to bring to the table. Singer/lyricists would be a plus as I would like to put words to my songs. And possibly put melodies to your words?
