ABOUT

I was a staff writer for two major labels at one time. In the pop - rock genre I did session - Hal Blaine ,and Joe Osborne on one session. I still have the tape-
I’ve been a composer for years. Write Beatlesque and Paul Simon melodically, and lyrically.
I write on acoustic but always have the mindset of keyboards, I’m well rounded in respect to chord inversions . I focus on playing where the bass notes are all important chord wise.
As I’m older my voice doesn’t have the range it once did,but still a high tenor. Vocal harmonies are important.
I’ve recorded in L.A.-New York-London-San Francisco. I play an old maple neck fretless P bass. Acoustics Martin D 42,and a Martin single cutaway with Baggs pup. Electric Fender Strat modded up. Going to sell ,and get back to Les Paul Standard.
Bottom line . I’ve not entertained the idea of a group. However I must get songs recorded. If you want to hear some of my demos recorded in Nashville ,and New York contact me. An easy one “Let Me Down Easy-The Bachelor” the video is out there. Ideally would like to get together with keyboard-bass-guitar,drums, and strong vocalist. A young female vocalist would be idea. If you look the part, and have an incredible voice, we could make it happen. I know enough people in the industry.

Influences

If you check out as example, there are possibly ten of my tunes. All slick one or two take demos with the creme de la creme.
You’ll hear my influences.
Bach inventions.
Schubert -String quintet - double cellos
Paul Simon beginning with Bookends up to Hearts, and Bones.
Beatles
Django whom I lift short little passages from, albeit I’m not a jazz player per se.
I must mention Joni Mitchell. She’s a one off always in all ways.

EQUIPMENT

Martin D 42
Martin maple body single cutaway , the model was discontinued years ago. The guitar has a Baggs, and is amazing amplified.
Fender fretless P bass
Fender Strat. Older E series w maple neck,Callaham steel tremolo block,CTS pups.
Three caps,
Switch craft five way
Scatter would pups - hand wound to exacting specs of a 57 Strat.
With that said, I had been using a Les Paul, and the Strat has been ignored for past twenty years. Must be totally setup again before I play it. It’s basically the closest to a 57 Strat you’ll ever play or hear.
