ABOUT

For more than 30 years, Jasper Lynam has played drums in multiple world tours, most notably he has played in bands such as HEAVEN, LANDFILL, BLACKLIST, DRAMA, STOMPING GROUNDS, and BLACK VALENTINE amongst playing with some of americas most iconic bands. The Los Angeles-based percussionist appears on more than 100 records. He also teaches, holds drum clinics and workshops at various music stores around the country. Lynam started playing drums around the age of 5 disrupting the family environment while living in his native Kansas. Seven years later, he began playing the club circuit, eventually joining numerous cover and original bands on U.S. and Canadian tours. Lynam joined HEAVEN (Columbia, CBS, RCA, Deluxe, Perris Records) during the 1980s and toured as opening band with the likes of JUDAS PRIEST, AC/DC, BLACK SABBATH, MOTLEY CRUE and many others. Paying his dues and learning everything he could about the business, including getting original MEGADETH drummer Gar Samuelson to teach him a thing or two while opening for the band, Lynam became an in-demand session drummer and not only went on more tours, but also found himself producing and playing in multiple studio and writing sessions. During the early 1990s, Lynam made Seattle his home and solidified himself as a driving force in the Northwest metal scene. In the past decades, Lynam has toured Australia, Europe, Asia, Japan, Canada, and the U.S. He has honed his recording, touring, writing and producing skills and continues to write and record. Lynam also does session work in Las Vegas and Vancouver, B.C. Lynam is available for shows, tours, session work and lessons.
