ABOUT

Long-time classic rock and soul singer/songwriter/guitarist, pro in the 70s doing shows at CBGBs with the Talking Heads, Ramones, etc., clubs all over New England, cover and original bands in L.A. from the late '80s to 2020. I have been the lead guitarist in my bands since the '70s, but love playing rhythm guitar. Some bass and harp. High vocals, lead and backup. I've recorded lots of original stuff (mine and others'). Recently moved to Coachella Valley, looking for the right folks to jam, record and play out with after the plague. I have an original rock band (my tunes) and a large classic rock and soul horn band in L.A.

Influences

Classic 60's (70s, 80's, and on) rock, blues, soul and funk. I love reggae, ska, African music, jazz, but little experience playing in those styles. Too many influences to name. I've seen many of the greats live, from Muddy Waters,to Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Clapton, Beck, Hendrix, Page, SRV., Winwood, Fogerty, Petty, McCartney, the Stones, the Who, etc. etc. Not to mention James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power, Fela, Sunny Ade, the Mahotela Queens. I continue to enjoy younger artists, e.g. Jack White (not that much younger), Black Keys, Tyler Bryant, JD McPherson.

Abundant pedals.
