I'm an aspiring singer/songwriter, in the process of forming a synth pop/rock, dream pop/rock, 80's style, all originals band. The music will span across a variety of types, from love songs and ballads, right through to fast paced and harder rock and will be very similar to music by Journey, Survivor, Styx, Starship, Yes, Asia, Toto, Foreigner, REO, and (more currently)The Midnight.
Not doing a project or one-hit wonder, but I'm seeking to form a career band. Shooting for the stars, not the bars. I was in business management for a long time and I will be managing the band, initially. I need very committed people on board for this. Switch-hitters (multi-instrumentalists) and/or musicians who can do backing vocals, are needed, but passion, persistence and patience are even more important. I need passionate and dedicated musicians, who want to rehearse to get it right and have fun at the same time! Holding that balance is vitally important! Experience is not as essential as your passion to make and perform upbeat original music. I'm dedicated to making sure that our initial investment of time, energy and devotion to this, will be returned to us.

They're endless. I've been influenced by a very wide spectrum. A better category here would be: What kind of music do I want to make, which I've mostly outlined in the previous section, which are: Journey, Survivor, Starship, Styx, Yes, Asia, U2, Coldplay, Goo Goo Dolls, and The Midnight.
