ABOUT

Guitarist/Bassist in Minneapolis area looking to find band to play with. I have 2 small kids and have recently gotten back into playing again and I’d love to get a group together to just play and vibe together with. I guess if I have a goal, it would be to play 7th St Entry next to First Ave and create songs that my kids will eventually think are lame and boring but also sort of get it but they don’t want to admit it to themselves or their friends.

Influences

Alternative/Indie/Surf - I grew up in Southern California as a punk kid in the early 2000s. I still love bands like Nirvana, NOFX, and Green Day, but my biggest influences now are Mannequin Pussy, Jeff Rosenstock and the Growlers, Allah Las, Måneskin. I absolutely love the Growlers-inspired beach goth sound and the grooves that can come out of juicy bass lines and reverb. I can sing but I want to be in a band with a female singer. Alternative/pop punk is having a bit of a renaissance now and it’s being led by people who were mostly shut out of the scene when I was growing up in it. So my intent is to take these types of sounds and basically reclaim it for the now.
