ABOUT

I have never had any professional experience, but I have had a lot of positive feedback on my voice and I have always wanted to sing and it is very important to me. I am mainly looking for pianists and guitarists, as I am not very skilled in those areas. It is very important for me that I write the lyrics to the songs we would be singing, but I am always looking for feedback on my lyrics to improve them. When it comes to the instruments, however, I don't play anything really, so of course I wouldn't be creating the instrumental music for our songs. However, just as I encourage feedback for my lyrics, I'd hope you'd expect feedback for the instrumental parts of our songs. I am willing to work together, of course, to create a good balance between vocals and instrumentals though. My goal is to "make it big," as they say, and the only reason I didn't say "very committed" is because I haven't had much experience, meaning a vocal coach (I taught myself), but in terms perseverance, I am very committed. Also, the songs I write tend to be very sad and emotional and have been described as having "raw emotion" by some people I have sung for, so if that is not your thing, I'm not for you.

(Note: when I say I practice more than three times a week, that is me taking an hour or more out of my day just to sing).

Influences

I don't really have any specific influences, and I am into a lot of different kinds of music. Just to get an idea, though, some artists I listen to are A Day to Remember, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Mayday Parade, Linkin Park, Adele, and many others (note: I don't SOUND much like these artists, especially ADTR, MP, and LP, but when it comes to the things these artists sing ABOUT, I am more like them). I will say that one person described my songs as a genre that she made up called "Lyrical" which she describes, as the name suggests, as very lyric-focused.
