ABOUT

Kriste Nicks is the girl next door. She is your cousin, your friend, your daughter, only with a voice somewhere between a young Aretha Franklin and contemporary Christina Aguilera. Growing up singing in church every Sunday in a small beach town in the Florida Panhandle, Kriste financed her music education working odd jobs before taking her place touring the country with such theatre productions as Seussicle the Musical, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, and I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change! while moonlighting as a studio musician. After four long years on the road, in March 2011 Kriste made Los Angeles her permanent home and quickly become a fixture among the open mic nights and karaoke bars of the San Fernando Valley. Finally pursuing her life-long passion of building a career as a songwriter, Kriste recently finished writing a dozen new haunting, fresh, and unforgettable songs in the melodic folk-rock/power-pop style that has become her own. Kriste cannot wait to finally get back in the studio and record an album to share with her friends, family, fans, and Los Angeles record labels hungry for new talent.

Kriste currently lives in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley in a studio piled high with musical instruments and recording equipment which she shares a Boxer-Boston Terrier mutt named Diva and a lot of video game equipment.
