At only 24 years old, Kyle Chapman has the musical expertise and teaching experience of someone twice his age. Starting during his teenage years in his hometown (Los Banos, CA), Kyle launched a successful music lesson studio at the young age of 18 and it quickly became a thriving business where the community could come together and discover their need for art and music education for all ages. After realizing a gift for teaching and a passion to write music, Kyle moved his growing business to the Bay Area and simultaneously finished his BA in music at San Francisco State. Eager to grow musically, he quickly landed a job at Vibo Music where he has worked for the past three years and also taught private lessons throughout the Bay Area. If this were not enough, Kyle also founded the San Francisco indie rock band Locus Pocus. During his time in the band he wrote, recorded, and released many songs accumulating over 400k plays on Spotify. He has played a variety of venues in the CA Bay Area such as The Regency Ballroom, The Independent, The Catalyst, Rickshaw Stop, and countless more. He’s shared the stage with national and international touring acts to include The MC5, Broken Social Scene, Chicano Batman, Tijuana Panthers, The Mowglis’s and many more. With a blend of contemporary and traditional techniques, Kyle has learned to teach students of all ages based on the goals of the individual. Having over 8 years of teaching experience, his young style mixed with his deep understanding of music from a technical and an artistic perspective enables him to be the clear choice for students wishing to pursue a solid foundation while enjoying a relaxing environment from someone who truly has a passion for both music education and artistry. In addition, Kyle contributes an unparalleled role in any collaborative or artistic endeavor. His work is highly professional while not compromising artistic integrity.
