22 year old vocalist/musician looking to gain more experience and join a committed performing group in the DFW metroplex. It’s been a bit since I’ve performed, but I’m eager and more than willing to put in the work. I have extensive experience with performance from a commercial perspective, classical/marching band perspective, and competitive drumline perspective. Most of all, I love singing! I’m confident as a lead, but I also am known to find and keep harmonies well. Making/writing music is a love language of mine; I’d love nothing more than to learn from you and experience the way music rules your lifestyle :)

Influences
I listen to a lot of jazz (I particularly love Latin jazz—bolero and bossa nova rule a lot of my personal writing). Folk, Blues, Classic Rock, Nu Wave, Funk, and R&B were played a lot around the house when I was a kid—so I kind of have a lot picked out of a few particular genres. I practice to a lot of Tracy Chapman, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holliday, Amy Winehouse, Barbara Lewis, the Ronettes, Roberta Fleck—etc in terms of where my voice sits at a power level. I like going soft and I have a passion for indie dream-pop :) “Her’s” is my favorite band and I find that their music fits my ideal musicality well.
Otherwise, my influences are kind of all over the place. Anywhere ranging from The Red Hot Chili Peppers to The Strokes—I can’t really pinpoint unless you asked me in particular :)

EQUIPMENT
I own an Ibanez Acoustic Plug In, Squier Telecaster, I have my own mics and instrument cables, and I’m in the process of acquiring more equipment. By February I should have a lot more.
