I am currently writing/recording all of the instrumental tracks for an Album entitled Matters Under Mind. I play guitars, bass, drums, piano and synth. I am a student of music theory and have the instincts for song structure.
What I am looking for is that rare magical song writing chemistry with a a talented vocalist, who has a flair for creating great vocals. I want that individual to co-write this and future albums.
I hear high notes in these songs that I can not hit with my voice. That being said, I think a female artist with range. I'm thinking a cross between Steve Perry (Journey) and Pat Benatar.
I am open to rearranging or rewriting these songs around those vocal "hooks." I want to write "Hit" songs that would be worthy of airplay.
Also interested in making music videos and whatever else this might lead to.
